I recently invited my mother-in-law over to celebrate her birthday with a glass of wine and a simple charcuterie board. It wasn’t anything elaborate, but it reminded me of something I’ve been learning—relationships don’t grow by accident. They require intention.
Over the past several years, life has been incredibly busy. Between work, responsibilities, and the constant pace of everyday life, so many of my conversations and visits felt rushed. I was present physically, but often my mind was already on the next thing that needed to be done.
I’m realizing that the people we love deserve more than the leftover moments of our day. They deserve our time, our attention, and our presence. Sometimes the most meaningful memories are created in the simplest moments—a shared meal, a conversation over a glass of wine, or simply sitting together without feeling rushed.
This season, I’m choosing to be more intentional with the relationships God has blessed me with. Time is one of the greatest gifts we can give, and I’m learning that slowing down to truly be present is an investment that will always be worth making.
Be intentional. Love well. Make the time. The people you care about are worth it. ❤️
